Desperate House Cat Rescue Society (based in Mississauga, Brampton, and surrounding communities) rescues homeless cats, trapping feral cats, socializing and training and loving them until they are adopted out to loving homes.

Disaster Animal Response Team of Nova Scotia: this charity works with the Canadian Red Cross, providing shelter, rescue and supplies for pets that have been affected by disasters.
