Businesses going green

-- Conscious Business --  Information obtained from facebook: Congrats to  Ideal Market for their waste reduction efforts. This store has found unique and interesting ways to recycle most of their waste - everything from organics to scrap metal (including unusable metal shopping carts, shelving, and tables).   Food scraps and compostable paper products like paper towels from the produce department, break room, and kitchens are composted.  They also practice Zero Waste purchasing, being conscious of what their money is being spent on - such as: paper products like copy paper, napkins, paper towels, and toilet paper with at least 80% post-consumer recycled content.  Reuse is also a priority at Ideal Market : goods like bread and other perishable foods are donated to three local shelters at the end of each day, used produce boxes go to local farmers, and used building materials are sent to the ReSource Yard ...

Positive News

-- Quote of the Day --  “Aim for success, not perfection.  Never give up your right to be wrong,  because then you will lose the ability to learn new things and move forward with your life.  Remember that fear always lurks behind perfectionism.  Confronting your fears and allowing yourself the right to be human can,  paradoxically, make yourself a happier and more productive person.  ~ David Burns -- Conscious Discussions Talk Radio --  * Airs live @ 10-11 AM (Pacifc)  - all episodes are archived indefinitely within moments after they air live, and are available for you to listen to later on at any time of day. Refurbish & Repair to Save Money

Refurbish the existing building and reap benefits You are facing problems with an old building? Don’t worry the answer is easy. Refurbish the existing building and reap heaps of benefit. It will improve performance and  add to the beauty of décor and aesthetics. Often upgrading the existing unit is far better than demolishing it and constructing a new one from the point of view of expenses, effectiveness and time.  The appearance from the age of the building can actually  retain its grace and antique value.  Refurbishment will often include repairing the ceiling, glass panes and spraying the front of the building. How to start it off? Starting is easy. In this Internet Age you will not have to trudge from one address to another,  just sit in front of your computer in the privacy and comfort of your own corner and do a search on "architectural spraying", "ceiling restoration", "commercial spraying", "industrial spray painting...

Referral Corner

Carrying Burdens

-- Quote of the Day --  “I couldn’t forgive, until I became sick and tired of being sick and tired. …There will come a point in your life when you just feel angry and things begin to happen and you have to start an inner self-evaluation. Once you do that you are able to make connections – and then you have to make a decision to forgive. …You may not know how you will make that happen, but you have to make that decision even when you don’t know how. …Then you begin to seal the deal in your heart – you have to come up with ‘why’, because the why is going to be what holds you to the process. …Once you have that why – you have to find the ‘what’, what you have in mind will be the result, what the future will look like so that you are not carrying a burden that is bigger then you.” ~ Sahrisa Robertson Today’s quote originates from the Conscious Discussions Talk Radio episode that aired back on April 11th… t...

Better, Wiser Role Models

-- Quote of the Day --  “The aim of education should be to teach us rather how to think,  then what to think –  rather to improve our minds,  so as to enable us to think for ourselves,  then to load the memory with thoughts of other men.”  ~ Bill Beattie -- Conscious Discussions Talk Radio --  * Airs live @ 10-11 AM (Pacifc)  - all episodes are archived indefinitely within moments after they air live, and are available for you to listen to later on at any time of day.
