-- Poetry -- Occasionally I like to share some of my published poetry here on this blog. I have in fact another book of poetry coming out this winter, however these 2 poems were excerpted from my first book - Towards Understanding , a collection of 125 poems. I WILL PREVAIL There’s knowledge in abundance, all around. Seems to be easily tripped over and found. Yet just can’t seem to get enough: To get anywhere seems so very tough. Just have to reach out and grab it Have to make positive attitude a habit. Wanna do so very much Just desire the winner’s touch. So very impatient in a hurry, And let myself too often worry. Suppose, in time, it will all come. Pray it happens, before my time has gone. Life’s crazy humour of surprise, Teaching me to fairly compromise. Try to do the best I can, And keep from following every day men. Will do whatever I think is best And if I fail, will I stil...

-- Quote of the Day --  “The most important choice you make  is what you choose to make important.” ~ Michel Neill -- Positive News --  One grocery store chain – SuperMax - is attempting to increase Puerto Rico’s national recycling rate (currently very low at 11%) by inviting people to bring in their newspapers, magazines and catalogs where they can deposit them in special kiosks and receive coupons for products sold in the store.   The store has partnered with several non-profits to make this program successful.  Kudos to yet another business who seizes the opportunity to create positive change!  Find Dave and Lillian Brummet, excerpts from their books, their radio program, blog, and more at: http://brummet.ca * Support the Brummets by telling your friends, clicking those social networking buttons, or visiting the Brummet's Store - and help raise funds for charity as well!     ...

Today's article was submitted and written by Carissa Parnell and offers some insight into the myriad of ways that one can green their new home, and renovation or addition projects for any building. Eco Design for Your Home   Architects Cheshire can build homes that, in addition to being beautiful and innovative designs, will be as energy efficient as possible. Wherever you live, if you care about your impact on the environment you need to choose architects who employ eco-design methods. This kind of house saves you money throughout the life of the property and has less of an impact on the environment from the construction phase to day to day living.  This does not just mean your new house will save you electricity. Architects Cheshire can make homes out of sustainable materials and save you money on your water bills too. A number of techniques used by modern designers will mean your beautiful new home, whether it is a work of art or homey and traditi...

-- Quote of the Day --  “For film producers who are looking for documentary insurance which is one of the biggest hurdles film and documentary people will have, there is a little known non-profit in NY city that is called FracturedAtlas.com, they provide the cheapest insurance on the planet – they also offer fiscal sponsorships …if they like your project they will set you up and then you will be able to take donations, they will take donations in your name and be able to get that to you. And that is in addition to the fact that they have great production insurance and that you can rent equipment from them… everybody tells me how great they are.”   ~ Nancy Fulton   Today’s quote originates from the Conscious Discussions Talk Radio episode that aired back on September 12, 2013 … titled: From Book to Film  (*Click on the title to access the full discussion) Find Dave and Lilli...
