Product Review

-- Product Review --   I discussed this review project on April 6 th – 8 th with 180cosmetics.com e-commerce manager -  Ayala Solzi-Tretman, and it arrived in the mail on April 21. Instructions are : “ apply several drops to the face gently massaging in circular motions. Wait until fully absorbed before applying facial cream or makeup. Use twice daily, morning and night.” Avoid contact with the eyes.  Ingredients include: mineral water, hyaluronic acid, Magnesium Ascorbil Phosphate (the most powerful and stable Vit. C.), sorbic acid, benzyl alcohol – a preservative, apparently.    I was actually surprised to see alcohol listed in the ingredients and usually vit. C is a preservative so I’m not sure why this was added as well… of course they have their reasons, I am sure. But this ingredient is eco-certified for fair trade and sustainable resources. I looked this ingredient up on Wikipedia and it says that it i...

She invites you to visit her at her site: www.PaulaYoumellRN.com Q: Who inspired you to pursue a career in writing? A: This is a who and a what question: Who inspired me are the people I work with one on one and in classes. I tended to be “teaching” the same basic things over and over. I decided to put this information in a book so I had a health and healing handbook to share with people. The what part is my intense desire to help and support people to realize they are the ones in control of their health and healing. I figured if I had a book about self-responsibility in healing I could reach more people faster. Q: How does writing help you...

Product review

-- Product Review --  I have always loved the sound of the Spanish language and often said that if I was capable of learning a language, beyond English and a little sign language, it would be Spanish. Well, I finally got my chance! I was thrilled to learn of the opportunity to review Erin Sieber’s new book – Learn Spanish The Gringa Way – The Easiest Way For English Speakers To Learn Spanish . The book is written specifically for Americans who can learn to translate their thoughts and every-day sentences into grammatically correct Spanish on their own – without teachers, classrooms and tests. Erin, herself, is actually from a small city in  Maryland (US) where few people spoke Spanish, but having stumbled upon it in high school this woman grew to adore the language and it led her to many an adventure including living abroad in Spain and years of formal language schooling, and writing for Spanish newspapers. Whenever I check ...

Poem - time

-- Poetry --  *sharing this beautiful little poem I found via social networking... Time    Time is like the wind That comes in the morning With a barely palpable caress of the cheek Rising to a comfortable caress In its measured passage of the day Until it rises a sudden gale Revealing the irrevocability of its power Trembling our browning leaves And blowing them to our finality. ~Phillip Pulfrey, from Beyond Me Find Dave and Lillian Brummet at: http://brummet.ca   * Support the Brummets by telling your friends, clicking those social networking buttons, or visiting the Brummet's Store - and help raise funds for charity as well!

-- Quote of the Day --  "Remember upon the conduct of each depends the fate of all."  ~ Alexander the Great   -- World of Writing --  Publicist Berlin Malcom connected with me re: her clients - Tamara Thorne and Alistair Cross both grew up writing and reading ghost stories and they have no intention of stopping. Their childhoods were spent trying to scare other children and later, snooping around allegedly haunted houses to see if anything might pop up and say ‘boo.’ Both previously published, they joined forces in 2012 and have since penned the successful Gothic serialized novel, The Ghosts of Ravencrest , as well as their debut collaborative novel, The Cliffhouse Haunting . They are currently working on their next project. Q: What have you learned about working with your co-writer? A: We have learned that picking the right collaborator is vital for true success. If you have any qualms about som...

“ By practicing yoga to raise one’s vibrations it raises the critical mass vibration of the planet to positivity. The oxygen exchange when practicing feeds plants and allows the Eco-system to function best. If everyone were to practice yoga and stop eating meat, we could stop global warming. Seriously. Everyone needs to be on board for this to work.”  ~ Erin Buchanan -- Product Review --  Erin Buchanan of ABX Health Products and I met through the Tomoson.com service and I have to say that I am very pleased to have met her via online communications. She appears to be a very enthusiastic, heart-warming, caring person who sincerely supports other people in reaching their goals. Their products are for sale through Amazon.com in the US but the ABX team is aiming for their products to be available internationally soon. I was really quite surprised that the products arrived so quickly from the States to southwestern Canada, where ...
