Budget Advice; Part 2

* Today we have Donna J Thomas appearing on our blog once again - this time she is offering some fantastic budget advice for business owners in a 2-part article here on our blog. Part 1 was published on August 15th . -- Tips To Stretch Your Business Budget -- Tip #3. Make Every Cost an Investment, Not an Expense Every networking meeting, coaching program, training course, marketing system, supplies and equipment you spend time or money for should give you a good return on investment (ROI). Many health entrepreneurs are not clear what return they expect or they don't get their money's worth by implementing what they're learning. When I enrolled in high-cost coaching to help me develop and market The Prosperous Practice, I promised myself that I would implement everything I learned. I continually looked for ways to maximize my return in every program and product I invested in. Sometimes my ROI was tangible, such as a website and a tech ...

product review

-- Product Review --  Did you know? 25% of all dogs will develop joint mobility issues  of some sort during their life.   Dave and I have had several dogs in the past and even though they had a top quality lifestyle and food regime as they aged we had to purchase expensive supplements to help them with age-related and previous injury (we adopt animals from shelters) related joint issues. We tried several brands and the last few years became loyal to one brand of chewable liver-flavored tablets, however when I learned of this review opportunity I just had to jump at it. The product was supposed to arrive around July 10 th , Amazon’s guaranteed delivery date, I'm not sure of the exact date it arrived, however it was there for us when Dave visited the US postal service on his next trip which was July 11th.The first thing we said as the bottle came out of the shipping box – was “wow”! We were so impressed with the s...

Quote of the Day

-- Quote of the Day --  “Compassion hurts. When you feel connected to everything, you also feel responsible for everything. And you cannot turn away. Your destiny is bound with the des tinies of others. You must either learn to carry the Universe or be crushed by it. You must grow strong enough to love the world, yet empty enough to sit down at the same table with its worst horrors.”   ~ Andrew Boyd Award-winning authors Dave and Lillian Brummet: http://www.twitter.com/brummet http://www.facebook.com/ lillian.brummet   http://www.linkedin.com/in/ ldbrummet http://www. consciousdiscussions.blogspot. com https://plus.google.com/u/0/ 110939008901230737529

Budget Advice; Part 1

* Today we have Donna J Thomas appearing on our blog once again - this time she is offering some fantastic budget advice for business owners in a 2-part article here on our blog. Part 2 will be published on August 18th .  -- Tips To Stretch Your Business Budget -- One of the main obstacles many healthcare entrepreneurs have in growing their practice is a belief they have to first rent an upscale office, have a bells-and-whistles website, write a blog and other costly investments before they can be successful. It's not the trappings of business that make prospective clients take us seriously. It's our ability to inspire clients to know, like and trust us, based on the service and value we provide. I started small and eventually opened a multi-therapist office that I and my clients love, but even so, it's not big, fancy or high-end. In fact, it is completely outfitted in a charming and comfortable style - with thrift store décor! To this day, after nearly ...

website update announcement

We are in the process of securing BrummetMedia.ca for our new website domain.  ...you may remember that we lost our main site domain that we had for over 15 years and were thinking of ldbrummet.ca... but after some thought and some wonderful advice from business associates we decided to go with BrummetMedia.ca I will  release announcements here and on social media about the new site as soon as it goes active.  Then comes the long process of reaching out to contacts, changing profiles and links, etc online. Whew! Interestingly, though, this does give us a chance to update the site content for you. Thank you for your patience.

product review

-- Product Review -- Chris Jorgensen , Co-Founder Earth's Pearl Supplements , first connected with me in early June; the product arrived sometime after or around July 7th I'm not sure of the exact date it arrived, however it was there for us when Dave visited the US postal service on his next trip which was July 11th. As you can see by the images below the white plastic (#2, recyclable) bottle came with a serrated clear plastic safety seal around the cap, ensuring the integrity of the product while easing the removal of the seal. After taking that seal off and unscrewing the cap, I found a 2 nd safety seal that easily pealed off the top of the bottle. Inside were a small bat of cotton (compostable, shred into small pieces first) and a moisture prevention envelope that should be removed after opening. The cap has a nice dispensary hole that I thought was a very nice touch, enabling me to flip it open and just tap out a pill instead of having to unscr...
