Thickson's Woods Land Trust is the last remnant of old-growth white pines on the north shore of Lake Ontario. Once reserved for masts of sailing ships of the British Royal Navy, the towering pines provide a vital resting place for countless migrating songbirds.

Toronto Cat Rescue's mission is to rescue, provide care & compassion for, and find homes for abandoned, sick or injured cats from situations of abuse, neglect or imminent euthanasia. They vow to have every cat in the area know what it means to be loved.

Toronto Humane Society considers itself as an educational resource and support centre. Their team provides programs in training and behaviour, temporary sheltering, accessible veterinary care, as well as offering community support programs and services.
