Winnipeg Humane Society runs numerous programs & services beyond the standard duty of finding homes for companion animals. These include their pet food bank, behaviour classes, training classes, assistance for end-of-life planning and transfers of guardianship. They participate in spay & neuter projects, lost & found pets, pet loss & grief support and investigate animal cruelty reports.
Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter is a registered, non-profit, no-kill rescue organization run mainly by volunteers.
Ivy's Wish Sanctuary is based in Ontario (Canada) & is where neglected, stressed or abandoned animals are given sanctuary.
