It would, of course, be fantastic if you find a way to:
  • thank them for their work

Edmonton Meals on Wheels (AB, Canada) provides more than a regular, warm nutritious meal to the seniors and people with disabilities or facing physical/mental challenges. Their volunteers provide perhaps the only conversation that person has all day as many are isolated, feel alone and can fall into depression. They look forward to these events, talk about them as little adventures or moments of joy that brightened their lives. From kitchen staff to delivery drivers, and event planners behind their engaging events - this is definitely more than a meal delivery program.

Elder Dog dedicates itself to connecting aging dogs with seniors, helping aging humans manage their loving pets through many different health and financial aide services, while engaging in community events such as the 13th Annual Butterfly Release... a memorial event held annually.

Encore Cornwall Education Centre is a non-profit organization that provides educational courses for seniors (50+) on any topic where there are teachers, and students, available.
