Creston Valley Bird Festival 2025 Locally we have the amazing experience of living near one of Canada's largest wildlife management preserves .  There, numerous staff and volunteers prepare for this massive annual event that attracts visitors from across the globe to the Kootenay Region of BC Canada. Partnering with Wild Side and Ducks Unlimited   - the Creston Valley Wildlife Management area encompasses    7,000-hectare (17,000-acre) area of provincial Crown land located along the Kootenay River system.    Registration opens April 1st. Recommended Resources Niteo Africa Society: works to build and nurture community libraries by shipping gently used books to Africa. They train literacy leaders from elders to parents, community leaders to teachers. They have an ongoing project offering literacy and learning open-source listings for the people they serve. Product Review Cheryle Mauthe , a Kootenay-based (BC, Canada) Independent Consultant with Norwex , approached me back in early December with a product review query. After hearing just a little about the products, I was happy to comply. As it happens, Cheryle resides nearby and she decided to deliver the products and samples to my door. Eco Event The Kootenay Conservation Program has put together an inspiring playlist of 12 short videos called " For the Love of the Kootenays ".  Register:    For The Love Of The Kootenays How it will work is that you just need to register once, and first thing each morning we will send you an email with a link to a new video  for you to watch with your morning coffee or beverage of choice to help jump-start your day in an inspiring way.  We will be touring the Kootenays to learn how to report invasive species and monitor for swallows and bats, how to help with local water quality monitoring, how to support farmland conservation, and much more.
