Why You Need A Media Page

The one tool that authors and most other entrepreneurs tend to skip is creating a Media Page on their blog or website. I'm not speaking here about a media kit... Media kits, Press kits, One-sheets are single page information sheets. These are often hidden, unpublished pages created only for members of the media to use - no one else wants to see it. In this situation the link would be sent directly to the individual and is often included in your query letter. These days, members of the media tend to prefer a Bio-link Landing Page . The Media Page will contain a list of links to online appearances with the most recent ones at the top. Manage Media Appearances Effectively

Finding a media appearance opportunity is not always easy and a lot of time is spent behind the scenes communicating with the right contact and researching each event. Then you've gone back and forth with the contact and have successfully booked the event. Often they are scheduling several months in the future, and then the finished product may not be published for several months after that.
