Of Outlines and Steel

-- Quote of the Day --    “ My writing process – I outline everything out. …I actually write an outline that is about 10,000 words or 40 pages worth of material. For me it is helpful to be able to stop and think - and be sure that all the pieces fall in together. …You really have to decide where you want to spend your time. …if I want to start writing then that is something that moves up in the priority list. …I might say ‘hey I want to write 1000 words a day’ – and if you do that for 60 days – then you’ll have a finished book.  …It is tiring to sit and write for 8-10 hours a day, so breaking it into little chunks where you have an hour or a half hour just to follow your outline and write. ” ~ Chris Rakunas Today’s quote originates from the Conscious Discussions Talk Radio episode that aired back on Nov 4… titled: Delivering Hope to Haiti  (*Click on the title to access the full discussion) --...

Referral Corner

-- Quote of the Day --  “8 limbs to yoga that help us stop suffering. 5 principals for social harmony (respecting each other, harmony with others), 5 principals for self mastery, the next two were postures and breathing, the next two were pulling yourself from external and breathing and the last two were stilling the mind and transcending all that is going on in your mind. …How can you be functioning in your life if you not quite honest? You really need to have your integrity intact. …This gives you the opportunity to notice – whenever you notice something, don’t blame yourself just say ‘good notice’, without judging or making wrong.” Johanna Mosca Today’s quote originates from the Conscious Discussions Talk Radio episode that aired back on Nov 1, 2012… titled: Feel Calm and ContentToday  (*Click on the title to access the full discussion) -- Brummet's In the Media --  Join me live today at noon pacific, 1 p...

Sharing society

--  Quote of the Day -- “The winds of grace blow all the time.  All we need to do is set our sails." ~ Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa -- Positive News --  Aquatic invasive species can be spread from one body of water to another via boats, equipment, fishing gear and other water apparatus.  People can stop the spread of these invasive life forms by making sure that they take the time to clean the equipment and drain water from the bilge, buckets, ballast and wells.  Take the time to dry the exterior by hand as much as possible when you are hitching the machinery to trailers or to your vehicle prior to transporting.    To ensure there is no transportation, it is suggested that people allow the machines and equipment to air dry for 30 days before entering a different body of water. This step isn't necessary if you are going to the same body of water regularly. --  Conscious Discussions...
