Jennifer Carr and I met last summer, when we had a great conversation about challenges in the art community, our mutual experiences as authors and radio/podcast hosts, and the passion for sustainable lifestyles. It wasn't long before she invited me to be a featured guest on her fantastic program: Connected Conversations For Creatives  Podcast Jennifer had this to say about the episode: "Whether you are a creative looking for marketing tips, a sustainability enthusiast, or someone interested in the intersection of creativity and advocacy, this episode offers valuable insights and inspiration to champion change in your own work and life." Planting for positive change is a real passion of ours.  Not only can we grow food that is harvested at it's peak nutritional level, with amazing flavour, and... for free - but we also reduce the environmental impact of our menu plan.  Add some flowering annuals, trees, shrubs and a wildflower or two - This will attract more pollinators who will ensure that you get a great harvest.  These plants provide food, shelter and habitat for a number of very important and beautiful creatures.  As you expand the plantings and potted plants a great number of bees of all shapes and sizes will start appearing.  What was that that just fluttered by? O how beautiful!  Witness the butterflies, sphynx moths, evening moths and tiny birds that are now dropping into your yard for a welcome respite.  Sound like an amazing experience? Well it is... and we have done it here on our property.  It wasn't long before my interest renewed in itentifying them, learning their na...

Later as a secretively moody teen, I would write sappy or pretentious poetry to try to express my adolescent thoughts and feelings.  It takes great bravery to bare one’s soul to the general public.  When I came across Lillian’s book, at first I didn’t quite get the title, but once I started reading, I could see how any artistic expression, be it poetry or prose or music or drawing or painting, can be a great tool for self therapy for meditating on and sorting out one’s thoughts and feelings.  ... just like in class when the teacher encourages shy students to voice their questions, because other students likely have the same question, this kind of very personal writing could also help other y...

..."You know you do"... lol  Authority Magazine once asked:  "Can you share the most interesting story that occurred to you in the course of your career? " We had some great responses from that discussion and so I thought it would be nice to do a video looking back at the vast changes that the world of writing was undergone since 1999. https://youtu.be/vleyUsFniH8 ~~~     Follow & Find Books:   on Amazon Visit:   Drum It With Brummet Blog Subscribe:   Brummet Media YouTube Channel   ~~~
