Business Owner Advice

Thank you for your patience while we transitioned to the new location and settled in. A lot has happened in just a short time from that moment in April when we tentatively queried a realtor about downsizing. By mid-May we had downsized our belongings, relocated the drum teaching/repair studio and moved in to our new-to-us "tiny home" living. We chose to do this in order to focus our energy on living life fully, projects in the to-do list and in preparation for the semi-retirement stage that we hope to obtain in the future. We also said "farewell" to our fuzzy cutie fur-kid Korma (in picture below)... as she had reached the appropriate age for letting her go. Yeah - that was a lot to take on and it happened super fast... right?! Faster than expected, that's for sure. However that was the situation and so we pivoted our attention from our publication schedule and action plan in order to focus on the tasks at hand. Well, the office is now set up and ready for us ...

Book Review !

A huge hug goes out to Kiki W & Gary Towne who posted a review for our guidebook for writers,   Purple Snowflake Marketing - How To Make Your Book Stand Out In A Crowd .   Today I'd like to share with you his review of that book :   4 out of 5 stars   This review titled:  "Practical, Realistic Guidance",  was posted on  Amazon.ca  (Canada) on October 17, 2023  "This book has been helpful for my husband and me, as we have been working on a non-fiction book. One of the first lessons we learned was that writing the book is the easy part, which came as a surprise to my husband, as he was proud of all the thought and work he had put into his literary project, but then stalled several years ago when he realized that the manuscript creation is just the first step.  Publishing, and then marketing the book and getting it out there, all of which requires money we didn’t want to spend, seemed too daunting.  More recentl...

Book Review !!

A big hug of appreciation goes out to Kiki and Gary Towne who rated our Trash Talk - It's Easy To Be Green series as 5.0 out of 5 stars on Amazon.ca (Canada) on Oct 17, 2023.  Thanks guys! We sure appreciate it!!  The book review titled "Cumulative Change" is shared below: "My husband, who grumpily takes up the daily mantle of “recycling police” for our own condo building as well as those of his clients, sees this book as his rule book.  Many of us (unfortunately not all of us) know that modern society must make huge changes in order to alter our dangerous and cumulative trajectory regarding how we as a species fail to properly take care of the planet where we live. If we just wait for big government and big corporations to “do the right thing,” there would likely be little change, even with some political activism.  Although we like the idea (at least in theory) of protecting our home planet for ourselves and future generations, we as a people actually fall deepe...
