Hi all!!! Winter can be a blahzeh time for some people... especially with COVID going on... keeping us more isolated, with a lower income and a reluctance to leave the home.    Bored? Looking for Something Positive to Do? You may have seen the  April 16th  or April 26th blog posts re: using our time more proactively and positively during this crisis, or any life crisis really. Today I'd like to inspire our readers with a few other suggestions that might peak your interest: - Baking and soup making is a frugal way to feed the family. Each of these are easily portioned and frozen for future meals. The warmth and scent that fills the home will be enchanting, calming and nurturing. Clean out the freezer, save those leftovers and make some amazing soups or stews. Consider making large batches of chili too, which can also be portioned and frozen. You'll appreciate these meals in the summer when it is too hot to cook, for those days when you are just too exhausted to face the kitchen, and for those cool weather days to warm up and feel cozy. Every business card, every person in your email, etc that you have some real connection with. Now is the perfect time to reach out to each of them with a little note of kindness, check in to see how they are, touch base to renew the relationship, offer some resource or set up networking opportunities for the future. Let individuals and businesses know what they have meant to you, how knowing them has benefited you, how you admire or are inspired by something they have done and offer some kind comment that may boost their mood.  - Perhaps creating custom song lists for your favourite connections is something you are into.  - Consider leaving gifts at a neighbour's ...

You may have seen that I have been posting helpful tips on Facebook for filling the time we now have on our hands productively and proactively. You'll see all kinds of interesting posts on my timeline, but book for March 18  and 24th when I encourage people to pick up a book, March 19 when I encourage people to clean their environments thoroughly... March 21st offers a fun craft idea and both the the 22nd  and 23rd offer fun, educational websites for kids. March 23rd and  March 27 offered fun hand shadow puppet information.  I shared links to find tours, gardening videos, and literacy and learning resources here  and here  and here . Now is a great time to start getting organized too. I started with organizing my computer... going through each folder and deleting old and unnecessary data and organizing the rest.
