Brummet's Conscious Blog

The first few years of any career will involve establishing Market Authority, which includes working social platforms and developing brand identity through things like keywords, logo design, colours and imagery. The goal here is to show that you know what you are doing, that you are respected and recommended by peers in your industry, that you have a good reputation, that you appear in the media frequently and are recognizable. A strong market authority results in building trust with those who have not worked with you yet. As time goes on, you'll also find that you will be fine-tuning your personal goals as an entrepreneur, tweaking the focus and the wording of the business mission, vision and promotional blurbs. Then you'll be exploring various ways of communicating these things to others through interactions with your contact list, obtaining product reviews, media endorsements and service testimonials. Once you have established a strong Market Authority, you will still need t...

What an honour it was to feature  Good Food Magazine 's review of our cookbook,  From One Small Garden - Over 300 Delicious Nutritious Recipes . Book Review " The nice part about this cookbook is that there are variations included for a lot of the recipes so you can customize or adapt the dish to your mood or even which vegetable you have on hand. It has given me more confidence in the kitchen when it comes to garden harvest time or when I bring a load of goodies come home from the farmers market. We love featuring blogger interviews for a variety of reasons. Firstly, we get to feature people we have built business or networking relationships with, people we know and trust. We know these interviews benefit our readers because of the awesome feedback... helping them understand what blogging involves, the mindset of blog hosts, how to manage a blog themselves or to query one for marketing purposes. There is a lot to learn from these amazing folks! Today we are honoured to feature our friend Morgan Elliott; we met through another friend of ours, Jeffrey Kippel - who interviewed Morgan on his podcast, (he also interviewed me too). Since then we've had some really great conversations and we are proud to feature the Published Lover Of Words Blog today Morgan Elliott is, she tells us: " a witchy mortal who has a passion for the weird and supernatural" . She is a Texas native. When she’s not writing, you can find her delving into true crime, watching movies and parenting...

Dave and I thoroughly enjoyed the movie Legend of Gobi on Prime .. . a fantastic adventure of Mongolian Khan's tyrannical control of others, going as far as banning music. The people fought back and this is the story of music changing the course of war and conflict. The closing statement to the movie flowed like poetry and has a powerful statement about music... so I would like to share this excerpt from the movie with you below. I encourage our readers to check out The   Legend of Gobi   movie when you can. " The sound of music has echoed through the kingdom; The people of Mongolia treasured their horse head fiddles  From generation to generation. The wind blows freely and mountains rumble in a low hum.  Rivers run around and about  And the tree leaves shutter in harmony.  And also the stars shimmer in a cold dark night.  In a hot day, the golden sun rays touch the ground  With a sound of a jingle.  To feel all of these with your...

Despite the global economic issues and the rising competition in the book market, poetry is a growing sector with an increasing readership. In the world of writing it is generally well known that poetry is one of the hardest genres to market, however there are a huge number of opportunities if one knows where to look. Over the years I’ve noticed a growth in online radio programs that focus on poetry. Like print publications, each radio program will have a unique focus – some may accept poetic works according to the region, genre or topic. If you have access to the internet, all you need to do is do a search for podcasts, blogs, v-logs and radio shows using key works such as poetry, poets, writing and the genre you write in (i.e. gardens, environment, social change). When you prepare the query there are several options to consider. First, how do you appeal to their audience? When does the radio show go live? How do listeners access the archived show? How do you plan on promoting the eve...

Elise Brooke  - for those of you who are not already aware  -  contributes to this blog on a monthly basis. Look for her helpful articles and thoughtful poetry just before the end of each month. You can find her published books on Amazon @:  https://www.amazon.com/stores/Shiela/author/B003VNARXI That was my piece I have packed all the boxes  the last of what is left  labelled “your stuff.”   It won’t be long now  and I’ll be gone.   Your very own cake  was not good enough,  you had to take my slice too.   Like the toothpick  you used to clean your teeth  of the evidence,  my heart has snapped.   “My stuff,” the mere possessions  left over for me,  I squash them into a box,  as you have tried with me.   The neatly folded bicycle  and all that remains of you,  I do not want any of it!   All memories  and reminders of you  must wash away...
