Why do we do this for FREE ??

People are often surprised, sometimes shocked, that we do not charge folks to appear as a guest on the 2 blogs or to have their questions answered on our YouTube channel . These experienced professionals feel that way because we have developed a large readership & loyal following - which is a valuable asset to anyone getting exposure. Therefore we are often asked why we are not charging for the exposure that our guests receive. I do see their point, really I do.  I mean, we are running a business here and we do need to make enough of a profit to continue running the blogs & channel. It also took a lot of time & effort to achieve the large readership and loyal connections. It continues to take more time to nurture those relationships along the way. * So.... Why do we do this for FREE ??  Honestly, I love blogging; I really enjoy managing the channel too. Having guests contribute content is a bonus in that I gain interesting fodder to entertain my readers/viewers. I...

of the best things about publishing our blog on this platform are the ability to create multiple pages. For computers and laptop users, the pages appear as tabs under the header image near the top of the page.  *If you are using a phone or other mobile device they will be available via a dropdown menu.  Today I'd like to call this aspect to your attention and hopefully have you browse the pages available to you right now.  By creating multiple pages on this blog we are able to share reviews of our published books for people to browse. We also created a page that shares endorsements from members of the media and also from guests we have featured on our blogs or former talk radio show and podcast.  You'll also find a page that shares links to our recent online media appearances - which fans of our blogs and books really seem to enjoy browsing.  There is an About page available too, which allows us to share more information about the blog, detail guidelines for s...

Writing Influences... or kinda influences?

My Writing Influences Today's article was written by   Elise Smith. of :  https://www.mynzdreamblog.com I was asked recently, “ who has influenced my writing? ”  I do have favourite authors such as Wilber Smith, Bryce Courtney, many true stories and dozens of poets that I adore, but I cannot say these people are the biggest influence on my writing . I like these authors because they bring back nostalgia of my mother telling me stories about growing up in South Africa.   I like true stories as it reminds me I am not alone on this journey of life and I am drawn to poetry for release and comfort. What influences my writing are real life experiences, my own and others who have come through similar.   Writing about my life and sharing it with the world in hopes of inspiring and encouraging others has helped me immensely on my healing journey.   Writing my stories was like diving into the dark abyss, turning on-the-spot light, grabbing my demo...

Megan explains that she resides in the " beautiful state of Alabama with my husband, CJ." and when asked what her life is like outside the office, she tell us: "When I'm not blogging, you can usually find me spending time with my family and friends or traveling with CJ" . Megan invites today's readers to visit her at: Instagram.com/WildWoodReads Q: When did you get the idea to launch your own blog? A: I've debated over launching my own blog for years. In high school I considered starting a blog about nature and beauty products, but dirt kept getting in my make up. It just wasn't a good time. Then later on I realized that I could write about my passion for reading, and I've always loved to read in nature. I just wanted to capture the feeling I get from that. So that's how ...

About this blog...

Brummet's Conscious Blog began back in the day of MySpace - remember when that was the place to be? lol How things change. We moved over to Blogspot.com in 2008, and have been there ever since. Like most authors, the first traditional publisher that we worked with explained how important it was to create a blog - so we began this incredible 17-year journey based on that advice. When Dave and I made the decision to live and work as consciously as possible - this included using the blog as a tool to inspire proactive, positive change in the world. When you browse the blog it is easy to see that this focus, this theme is reflected in the colours we chose, the content we publish, the imagery we use, the types of extra pages we create and what we include in the sidebars. You'll find articles on green living, reducing waste, saving money, writing industry, business and leadership advice, self-help articles, poetry, gardening tips and much more. You'll also find several genre-spe...
